In a now famous rock moment, Kings of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill abandoned his band onstage after saying “I’m gonna go backstage and I’m gonna vomit, I’m gonna drink a beer and I’m gonna come back out and play three more songs.” Needless to say, he didn’t return and the band had to cancel the rest of the show. Caleb’s brother Jared took the Twitter later to disclose that the band were having internal problems, and that they had nothing to do with dehydration or not drinking enough Gatorade. A in-depth documentary about the Kings of Leon premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival recently to rave reviews. The film is called Talihina Sky and follows the Followill boys on their journey from good young Christian boys living under the iron fist of their father to their experiments with sex and drugs and their arrival as rock and roll gods Kings of Leon. The name of the film comes from the name of the place where they still have their alcohol-filled family reunions. Check out the trailer below:

“Come Around Sundown,” Kings of Leon’s much-anticipated fifth studio album, is set for release in mid-October 2010. The official album cover depicts a pristine, deserted island with two silhouetted palm trees basking in a sunset (or sunrise). The lead single, “Radioactive” premiered on September 8 and from the looks of the track listing – this album delivers some solstice goodies in the form of fire. Although critics have yet to release their opinion of the album- we’re expecting nothing but greatness. Do you have an opinion about the album?
